Patrick Maroon has won 3 Stanley Cups in his career. Going on a wild three-year run, he was a part of three consecutive Stanley Cups teams, winning his first with the St. Louis Blues in 2019. He then won back-to-back Cups in 2020 and 2021 while playing with the Tampa Bay Lightning, bringing Maroon’s total to three Stanley Cups.
Being a native of St. Louis, his first Cup was particularly special as it was the Blues’ first and only current Stanley Cup win.
Stanley Cup Finals 2018-2019: St. Louis Blues vs Boston Bruins
The St. Louis Blues were able to secure the first-ever Stanley Cup against the Bruins in 7 games. Pat Maroon played in 74 games for the Blues this season, scoring 10 goals and providing 18 assists. Maroon played for most of the playoffs while grieving the loss of his grandfather before the first round.
He channeled this to assist on the game-winning goal against the Winnipeg Jets in round one. He also scored a game-winning, series-clinching goal in the second round against the Dallas Stars in double overtime.

Stanley Cup Finals 2019-2020: Tampa Bay Lightning vs Dallas Stars
After leaving the Blues, Maroon signed with the Tampa Bay Lightning for the 2019-2020 season. Maroon played in 64 games with Tampa during a truncated season. In those games, he totaled 23 points- 9 goals and 14 assists. Despite the complications created with the rise of COVID-19, the Lightning were able to overcome the obstacles to win a quarantined Stanley Cup Championship.
Maroon was able to score 1 goal and produce 3 assists in the playoffs leading up to the Cup Finals. Tampa Bay took down the Dallas Stars in 6 games. Maroon again served as a veteran depth forward role for the Lightning, particularly helpful on defense and penalty kills. Maroon played in all six games, tallying 2 assists, one of which came on a power play. Maroon was held scoreless in the series on 4 shots.
Stanley Cup Finals 2020-2021: Tampa Bay Lightning vs Montreal Canadiens
After finding success with the Lightning the previous season, Maroon re-signed with Tampa Bay to pursue yet another Cup. Much to the enjoyment of Maroon, the Lightning were able to go back-to-back and won the Stanley Cup again in 2021.
During the regular season, Maroon played in 55 games, accumulating 14 assists. He also scored 4 goals on 46 shots. Come playoff time, Patrick tallied 1 goal and 2 assists before the Stanley Cup Finals. In the Finals, Maroon played all 5 games, scoring 1 goal on 9 shots. With the Tampa Bay Cup victory, Maroon became the first player to win 3 Cups in a row while playing on different teams.
